| April, 2007 - Cheyenne V. |
Cheyenne overcame a great hurdle in her piano playing. She always
has a great attitude, even when the songs and practice get tough.
Before the recital, we were not sure she would be able to participate
(her song was very difficult and she was not yet ready)... her parents
decided to videotape me playing it at the next lesson. She came
the following week prepared and excited! Congratulations Cheyenne!
(Maybe I'll do that more) |
| March, 2007 -
Alana H. |
Alana is one of our newer students, but did not hesitate to tell me she
would like to participate in the spring recital, only a month away!
She did a great job and is eager for the next one... keep it up Alana! |

February, 2007 - Josh M. |
Josh has been taking lessons for a little over a year, but only since
last September here in the studio. His excitement and eagerness to
learn more spreads through the studio. He is a joy to teach and
certainly keeps me thinking. :) |

January, 2007 - Joey B. |
Joey started lessons with me around October. He had previously
taken lessons while living in Arizona, land of warm-ness. Since he
is unaccustomed to the cold, his first pick for an assignment book had a
snowboarder on the cover! He has been making excellent progress
and is excited to perform "The Entertainer" for the Spring Recital.
The best part of all? It will be his birthday! I am very
proud of you, Joey. Keep up the great work! |

December, 2006 - Avalon K. |
Avalon did an exceptional job at the
recital. She is always prepared when she comes to lessons & is eager &
diligent in everything she does at the piano. She has been moving along
nicely through her lesson books and will soon be ready for Bastien Level
2! I look forward to every lesson and am eager to see what Avalon can
accomplish this coming year. I was very proud of her at the recital.
She started her piece out with the pages in the wrong order, started,
stopped, fixed it, and went on as if nothing had happened to play
perfectly. Many students would panic in a position like hers, but she
kept calm and did her very best. Keep up the great work Avalon! |

November, 2006 - Britton L. |
Britton is currently my youngest
student and doing very well. She is performing “We Wish You a Merry
Christmas” at the recital this December. At first, she wanted me to
play with her, but I was pleased this week when she told me she’d rather
play alone! She works very hard and is a confident student eager to
learn. She even performed the song on her birthday for her class at
school and did an excellent job! I’d like to say a special thanks for
her mom for diligently helping her practice at home. It makes a huge
difference! Great job Britton! |

October, 2006 - Shauna J. |
Shauna began lessons at the end
of the summer as a transfer student and has made excellent progress. I
love seeing the joy as she conquers another piece. Currently, she is
preparing a difficult version of “What Child is This” and is committed
to doing her best. Great job Shauna! I am so glad you are taking
lessons and I can hardly wait until each new week. |

September, 2006 - Josh G. |
Josh has been taking piano lessons from Kristin since transferring to
the studio two years ago. He enjoys laffy taffy, pizza, double bacon
cheeseburgers, and cherry coke. He has been doing an excellent job on
his new piece, “Canon in D” by Johann Pachabel, which he hopes to
perform at a future piano recital. He also has been working hard on
worship songs to play in City Bible Church’s children’s ministry. I
chose to feature him this time because he always comes prepared for the
lessons and is eager to learn more every day. It is very rewarding to
see the wheels turning as you learn a new skill, Josh! Remember
learning the modes? Aeolian and Ionian, Dorian and Lydian? :) Always
work hard to glorify God in everything you do. |
